The 9th Annual 922 Day will be held at McCluskey Park in Dennison on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 5:30 - 8 pm. The theme of the event is "Calling all Superheros, What's your Super Power?" we have invited groups who engage kids to discover their skills and passions. Feel free to wear your favorite Superhero costume. We also ask that you bring canned food to donate to the 922 Day Canned Food Drive for the Twin City Food Pantry.
The exhibitors of the event include Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Claymont Library, Dennison Police and Fire, Uhrichsville Fire, Girl Scouts, Meese's Martial Arts, Safe Kids Coalition, Twin City Kids Coalition, Twin City Rocks and the YMCA. The Parade lines up at 5 pm at the Claymont Intermediate School on 3rd St., you do not need to register to participate. Parade kicks off at 5:15 and goes up 3rd St. to North Street and ends at the Stadium.
Dennison Mayor Jeff Dryden will open the event. That will be followed by a performance by the Mustang Youth Cheerleaders. Events in the park open immediately following in McCluskey Park. Food include Hot Dogs cooked by the Dennison Auxillary Firemen, Kettle corn and bottled water and Ice Cream cups. There will be lots of games and activities for the kids including face painting, mini train rides, a Cake Walk and music from Juke Box Entertainment.
